TALK Derby Ambassadors
TALK Derby Ambassadors are recognised for being influential in their field and passionate about the city, social mobility, education and the impact on all these of speech, language and communication. They have all been invited to take on the role as they have contributed significantly to the activities and promotion of TALK Derby to date. Ambassadors have also demonstrated they are committed to making a difference to children and young people in Derby through enabling positive communication skills.

Sarah has a varied professional background and her role in TALK Derby has been as a tutor for Elklan.
Jane is the Executive Head at Redwood Primary School and Chair of Derby City’s Primary Strategy Group.
Headteacher at Harrington Nursery School, Wendy has been involved with TALK Derby from its inception. She sits on the Derby Opportunity Area Board and the Early Years Subgroup. Find out more about Wendy here.
As Head of Early Help at Derby City Council, Fiona has been a key supporter of TALK Derby since its inception.
Deborah Outhwaite is a member of the TALK Derby Advisory Group.
Lisa is the school readiness lead for Derby’s children’s centres and responsible for co-ordinating TALK Derby across the city’s 10 children’s centres. For more information about Lisa, click here.
