Better Communication is running a series of sessions on Monday 16th September to help you identify how you already support children's speech, language and communication and to plan what else you could be doing. This support is free if you are in one of the eligible wards. Click here to book your place.

TALK Derby is excited to tell you know about an amazing free training offer for schools in eight priority wards in Derby.  If you are in Abbey, Alvaston, Arboretum, Boulton, Chaddesden, Derwent, Normanton or Sinfin and want to know how to enable good communication and language development and support those children who struggle, read on…

TALK Derby offers free, flexible training for practitioners who are working directly with children in the early years, or who would like to offer support to parents.

You can book training that is in the day-time, in the evening, or on a Saturday.  You can also choose at which level you would like to start.  We want to provide a course that suits you.

If you would like to strengthen your skills, join us for Speech and Language Support for 0–3s or 3–5s (both accredited at level 3).

There are a number of options to choose from:

(There is also a later option to learn to deliver a practical course for parents, once you have been through the Speech and Language Support for 0-3s or 3-5s courses)

You can also encourage parents to attend the Let’s Talk with Under 5s course and use the same links to book in.
